THE MUSEUM IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY

THE MUSEUM IS CLOSED DUE TO RECONSTRUCTION

Today marks the end of Light Art Museum’s fourth exhibition, More Than Human. We’re saying goodbye not only to the exhibition itself, but to the extraordinary 2,000-square-metre inflatable “zeppelin” that filled the heart of the building. We’re now beginning the transformation of the space — and this autumn, the museum’s fifth exhibition will open with a brand-new, striking new immersive spaces, and a completely new lineup of programs.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM

The Light Art Museum Budapest is a place for art experiments with light. The Light Art Museum is one of the first exhibition spaces in the world to specialise specifically in the collection, research and display of works of this character. It presents the results of research into the interaction of art, science and technology, and the most diverse fields of research into the creative use of light, in order to create a complex and varied field of interpretation. The works on display in the museum explore the boundaries between imagination and reality, revealing to visitors the aesthetic utopias of the use of light and the most innovative artistic possibilities of the medium.
