Sound and Vision envelops us in a field of saturated colour and vibrating sound. Drawn to the very edge of saturation, oranges, yellows and reds glow and pulse,akin to a molten ceramic glaze. The light is thick, almost tangible, spilling into space like liquid heat. Reflections appear on the surfaces – sharp and mirror-like at times, fractured and trembling at others – so that the image itself seems on the verge of breaking free from its frame. Mark Pritchard’s soundscape hums and swells around us, creating a physical resonance in the chest and bones, as though the colour had a frequency of its own. The installation is both hypnotic and destabilising, a sensory terrain where beauty is charged with unease, and every flicker of light feels like an eruption held in check by the discipline of form. In this space, light behaves like matter, colour becomes weight, and the viewer is suspended in a moment that is at once overwhelming and magnetic. It is not a scene to observe but a place to inhabit: an experience that lingers in the body after leaving.
