MIMIC.2 is an audiovisual installation that creates a unique sensory experience by combining LED screens with laser projectors. Media.Tribe, the collective behind this work, specialises in using their distinctive approach to light and sound to create audiovisual installations that take viewers into altered states of consciousness.

The installation works as a single connected system producing moving images that are simultaneously present in the air and on the screens. The artists employed the creative process as a means of coping with overwhelming inputs from the external world and their own inner emotional landscape. Turning invisible emotions into visible light and sound, their installation captures feelings and mental states that are difficult to put into words.

The artwork results from the collective’s exploration of how we perceive reality amidst today’s information overload. Through the use of minimal but precise elements, space is created for one’s imagination and personal reflection. By watching the laser lines and the screen, visitors become part of the artwork itself, experiencing how technology can translate human emotions into a shared visual language.

MIMIC.2 invites the viewer to step away from everyday distractions and connect with inner experiences in a new way.
